THE .SI FIELD GUIDE
.si domain registration rules
Learn .si registration rules: 2–63 characters, supported IDNs, reserved labels, hyphen restrictions and registration terms.
A .si domain label must have 2 to 63 characters. It cannot start or end with a hyphen. The registry permits internationalized names from its published character table.
Length and hyphens
Two characters is the minimum in the readable name, including IDNs. The maximum for an IDN is measured in its ASCII-compatible ACE encoding. Consecutive hyphens in positions three and four are prohibited except for an allowed IDN’s ACE form. The .si ending is not part of the label.
Characters and reserved names
Basic Latin letters, digits and internal hyphens are permitted, together with the registry’s listed international characters. The policy explicitly reserves si.si, rs.si, 112.si and 113.si. A missing RDAP record does not override a reservation or registry restriction.
Registration terms and responsibilities
Registry terms allow registration and renewal periods from one to five years. Retail providers may offer a narrower selection. Keep your contact information accurate, protect your account, and respect third-party rights. Refer to the original terms for binding language and the dispute process.
