THE .SI FIELD GUIDE

.si domain disputes, trademarks & ADR

Check rights before choosing a .si name and find the official dispute process.

Reviewed: Editorial research by SIDomainChecker

A .si registration does not give you trademark rights. The registry provides an alternative dispute resolution process for domain conflicts; consult its current rules for the applicable procedure.

When does the .si ADR procedure apply?

Search the brand name in the markets where you plan to operate. A registry lookup only reports domain records and cannot clear a name for trademark use. Avoid impersonation and names chosen primarily to exploit another organization’s reputation.

Keep relevant records

Document your own legitimate project, the intended use of the name and dated correspondence. If a conflict develops, preserve screenshots and messages without publishing private contact data. Seek advice suited to the jurisdiction and facts.

Find the official process

Use Register.si’s domain dispute documents and guidance for submission requirements and current fees. This guide is an orientation to sources, not a conclusion about the outcome of a particular dispute.
